Local MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy has called upon the people to utilise the welfare scheme benefits being provided by the State and Central governments.
The MP participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) of the Central government here on Thursday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the programme from New Delhi virtually. The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being organized across the country to create awareness among people on the Central government-sponsored welfare schemes.
The Pakala village in Sinkarayakona mandal was selected for the programme in the state. Collector AS Dinesh Kumar, the VBSY programme state in-charge M Ramachandrudu, SEARCH CEO Mohammad Intiaz, and Joint Collector K Srinivasulu was among those who took part in the programme.
Self Help Group member K Venkataramanamma spoke to the Prime Minister on the occasion. She apprised the Prime Minister of the benefits of Central government schemes which she got.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, MP Srinivasulu Reddy said that the Central government is also implementing various welfare schemes. Awareness is being created among people in every village on the Central government schemes and including the eligible people in the schemes.
Collector Dinesh Kumar said that people would be made aware of the welfare schemes through the VBSY in all the secretariats of the district. The Collector asked all to draw inspiration from Venkataramanamma, who came forward to use technology in agriculture in the villages. The Collector apprised the government machinery for making arrangements for the VBSY on war footing to make the programme a success.
VBSY in-charge Ramachandrudu hoped that Bharat would become a developed country by 2047. The VBSY would be organized across the country till January 26, 2024, to sensitize people on the 17 welfare schemes being implemented by the Central government in all states, he said.
“The VBSY is being organized to provide welfare benefits and also by making people aware of the changing technology and getting a better livelihood through its use,” Ramachanrudu said.
The beneficiaries of various schemes were given cheques for the programmes. RDO Visweswara Rao, ZP vice chairman Aruna, and MPP Katta Sobha Rani were among those who participated in the programme.
