The BJP leaders and activists here on Monday embarked on a 48-hour protest in front of the Collector’s office demanding the government to restore the 26 schemes of the SC Corporation, which were introduced by the Central government, and implement them.

A large number of BJP leaders and activists led by national executive member Kanna Lakshminarayana, Gujarat MLA and national SC Morcha general secretary Shambunath Tundiya, SC Morcha state president Gudise Devanand and state general secretary Vetukuri took part in the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Gujarat MLA Shambhunath Tundiya found fault with the AP government for revoking 26 schemes of the SC Corporation. He said that the BJP demands the restoration of the schemes and implementation to benefit the beneficiaries. “It is unfortunate that the YSRCP-led AP government is extending patronage to those who were involved in the murder of Dalits. The AP government has also meted out injustice to the farmers of the capital region who have parted with their lands for the construction of the capital city. The BJP will carry out a ceaseless fight till justice is meted out to the SC/ST and minorities in AP. The YSRCP-led government is biased toward the Dalits,” the Gujarat MLA slammed.Kanna Lakshminarayan lashed out that the YSRCP leaders are plundering the wealth of the state. The Central government had introduced the SC Corporation in which the state government revoked 26 schemes and stopped implementing them.

“The Central government funds, being extended under the SC sub-plan, are being diverted to other purposes. The YSRCP regime resembles British rule.

The way in which the YSRCP MLA is speaking is shameful to all. I have never seen such a degraded police system in my 50 years of political life,” Kanna Lakshminarayana flayed.

BJP state general secretary and SC Morcha in-charge Bitra Sivannarayana, BJP state general secretary Suryanarayana Raju, district president Patibandla Ramakrishna and a host of other leaders were among those who took part in the protest.
