BJP national general Secretary and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday launched a broadside against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He alleged that “KCR is more dangerous than cancer.” He expressed confidence that the BJP would capture power in the State.

Addressing a meeting of BJP polling booth-level activists in Chevella Assembly constituency, Sanjay said, “Just as cancer poses a grave threat if it progresses to its third stage, KCR’s third term as CM could be even more perilous. The people must consider this.”

During the event, Sanjay also turned his focus on the upcoming elections and KCR’s approach to governance. He criticised KCR for allegedly failing to provide substantial benefits to the people. He found fault with the Chief Minister for choosing candidates who harassed the people. He questioned whether the people desired a party filled with unchecked power and vowed the BJP’s commitment to the people’s welfare.

He alleged that KCR had provided funds to Congress MLA candidates suggesting that they might switch to BRS after winning. He highlighted promises broken by the Chief Minister related to the distribution of land to Dalits. Accusing KCR of undermining Dr BR Ambedkar’s legacy, Sanjay claimed that BJP’s mission was to replace the BRS party with a Ram Rajyam administration that uplifts the poor and marginalized.

He said that KCR had neglected people belonging to the Backward Classes in allotting MLA tickets. The BRS allocated only 22 seats to BCs though they constitute 52 per cent of the population.

He said that the BJP was committed to the welfare of the BCs. The BJP would capture power under the leadership of G Kishan Reddy, he said Union Minister and BJP State Unit President G Kishan Reddy also addressed the gathering, echoing Sanjay’s sentiments. He pointed out that the Chief Minister announced a farm loan waiver just before the elections.

Party leaders AP Jitender Reddy, G. Vivek Venkataswamy, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, and Karnataka MLA Chandrappa attended the meeting. State Representative CH. Vithal, District President Bokka Narasimha Reddy, SC Morcha State President Koppu Bhasha, and other state leaders also participated.
