The BJP’s Telangana unit President, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, said that corporate colleges are looting students and parents, using the support extended by the BRS government led by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Sanjay was speaking to reporters after calling on Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha’s Medchal district president Pavan who was injured in a brutal police lathi-charge and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital at Boduppal.

The BJP state president said Pavan was leading a protest by BJYM workers demanding a judicial inquiry into the suspicious death of an Intermediate first-year girl student of a private college. “The college management which has the backing of the BRS, got them lathi-charged by the police, leading to serious injuries to Pawan,” Sanjay said.

He said that the corporate colleges of Telangana had turned out to be ATMs for KCR and his family. “With the support of the Chief Minister and his family, these colleges have been fleecing students and also harassing them,” he said.

Stating that the BJP would continue to fight till all corporate colleges were reined in, Sanjay said that if the BJP is voted to power, it would put an end to the malpractices of corporate colleges.

He wondered why the government was hesitating to order a judicial probe into the suspicious death of the girl and what mistake Pavan had committed. He said that the police were foisting false cases against Pawan for questioning the college management. “Such cases and attacks will not demoralise BJP leaders,” Sanjay declared.
