Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy said that they will announce candidates soon. He said that the BJP is a cadre based party and that it will not decide candidates at the family dining table like the BRS which is run by a family.
Speaking to the media in New Delhi on Tuesday, Kishan said that there is no need for anyone to worry. The BJP will contest elections alone and will contest all the 119 Assembly constituencies, he said.
The party will appoint an Election Committee and decisions regarding candidates will be taken only after the Election Committee’s meeting, he said.
Kishan said that the names of candidates would be announced only after speaking to party cadres.
He said that they will launch a State Yatra after Telangana Liberation Day and that they will meet people constituency-wise.
Expressing happiness over reducing the LPG price, he said that the Centre decided to cut the LPG price by Rs 200 a cylinder as a Rakhi gift.
He said that all states have reduced petrol prices by reducing taxes on petrol after the call given by Prime Minister Modi, except the Telangana government which burdened people by not reducing taxes.
