Way too early, the founder of the “Make Me Pure” organisation realised that adolescence is the time window in which various mental health problems manifest. With the motive of transforming people into better versions of themselves, Gurpreet Singh Arora started this firm to check the relationship between mindset and mental health. The founder is also a government-trained teacher in hypno-counsellor, DMIT counsellor, NLP practitioner, past life regression expert, and reiki grand master. However, he’s primarily passionate about mental health.
He explains to us, “The centre provides a safe and caring space to explore the depths of mental awareness. Through person-centred care, we strive to promote dialogue about mental health and invite people to join us in exploring the importance of self-reflection and compassionate understanding. With an emphasis on understanding mind-body connections, we help cultivate well-being through holistic healing processes.

Research has found that those with a fixed mindset were 58% more likely to show symptoms of anxiety, aggression, and depression than their growth mindset peers. That’s what the organisation wants to change in today’s times. “I have documented my life to manage and release anxiety. Since working with this organisation, one of the most important things I’ve learned is to truly comprehend my emotions by recognising and accepting them! By acknowledging the emotion and understanding why it is happening, I can even turn it into positive.
Taking time for mindfulness practises such as journaling and meditation also helps me to focus on the present moment and accept what is occurring without judgement. The process requires discipline, dedication, and patience but has proven immensely fulfilling.
For instance, I have kept a journal to get my thoughts out of my head, write down my worries, and express myself. Additionally, I have taken up activities like art journaling or creating poetry as a way to help me make sense of my thoughts and emotions. Through this process, I can look at situations objectively, and come up with effective strategies for managing them. That’s what I promote.”
The budget is also out, and many industry pundits felt that mental health was still not being prioritised. Does the founder of mental health services second this opinion? It was important to hear from the practising expert himself. He shares, “The latest budget announcement has left many questioning why our government is not prioritising well-being in the country. With health, education, and employment services lagging, it can feel like progress has been stymied.
In response to this, many people are feeling mixed emotions regarding the proposed budget. I know of some who feel relief that necessary resources are being provided, while others worry that important aspects of their daily lives will be impacted. With rising inequality and hardships faced by many, we are still far from achieving economic stability.
The budget could have done more to tackle these issues, but what’s stopping our country from improving its citizens’ quality of life is still largely unknown.”“Treat yourself with kindness, eat nutritious meals, and make plans with supportive family members and friends,” they say. But is this enough? Because various mental health problems are arising in various sectors. Be it the psychological effects on a cancer survivor, layoffs harming the mental health of workers, the cause of baldness, mental health in the Black community, or tempting sports betting. It just doesn’t stop!
He added, “Our approach is based on evidence-based psychological principles. It employs cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) tools to help effect long-term change in the minds and hearts of our youth. The motive is to free the youth from the effects of stress, anxiety, and trauma and live a more joyful life.Taking care of your mental health is as important as your physical health. Mental health should not be taken for granted, as it is an important part of developing your personality. We help people boost their confidence and teach them ways to fight depression, stress, and anxiety through their healing programmes and techniques.”
