Education Minister and a senior politician from North Andhra, Botsa Satyanarayana, has expressed confidence in the YSRCP’s prospects under Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s leadership. He emphasised the positive changes brought about during their tenure, expecting strong support from the public.
In an interview with The Pioneer here on Monday, Satyanarayana discussed crucial aspects of the upcoming elections, shedding light on the party’s strategies and responding to the criticism of opponents.
Responding to concerns about the State’s debt, Satyanarayana clarified that borrowing was within legal limits, contrasting it with alleged past excessive borrowing. He dismissed accusations of reckless spending, highlighting the party’s commitment to responsible governance outlined in their manifesto. Regarding the feasibility of the YSRCP manifesto, Satyanarayana assured financial strategies were in place to fulfil promises without resorting to excessive borrowing, focusing on sustainable development plans. On prohibition, he reiterated the party’s commitment to phased implementation over 15 years, aiming to reduce consumption gradually.
Addressing concerns about dues clearance for employees and their voting preferences, Satyanarayana expressed confidence in garnering support from various sections of society. Regarding decisions like making Visakhapatnam the executive capital and the privatization of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Satyanarayana emphasized strategic benefits and opposition to privatization efforts.
He highlighted various initiatives for job creation, infrastructure development, and healthcare, emphasizing significant reforms undertaken by the government. Satyanarayana also pointed out transformations in education, health, and rural development sectors, including upgrades in schools, digital classrooms, and improved governance. He asserted that 99% of their manifesto promises from 2019 had been fulfilled and encouraged people to evaluate their performance themselves.
Ultimately, Satyanarayana expressed confidence in the party’s governance model and believed in a favourable outcome in the upcoming elections.
