Jhansi paid tribute to the transformative impact of the Aarogyasri, A flagship scheme of all health initiatives of the State government to provide quality healthcare to the poor, initiated by the late Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy, which illuminated the lives of countless underprivileged individuals. She commended Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s commitment to expanding and fortifying this initiative, underlining his dedication to safeguarding public health as a foremost responsibility of governance. Notably, the financial coverage under Aarogyasri has been augmented by 25 lakhs, illustrating a robust investment in healthcare infrastructure.
Highlighting Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy’s ambitious vision to elevate Visakhapatnam into a premier healthcare hub, Jhansi extolled his efforts to democratise access to superior medical facilities across North Andhra. The establishment of 17 medical colleges within five years stands as a testament to the government’s proactive agenda, generating over a lakh of employment opportunities within the medical and allied sectors.
Jhansi fervently appealed for unified support towards Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s proposal to designate Visakhapatnam as the administrative capital, asserting its potential to infuse a fundamental shift in the region’s development path. Highlighting the essence of preserving Visakhapatnam’s rich cultural heritage while charting a course of progress, she rallied for collective endorsement of the ‘Vision Visakha’ initiative.
