BRS can overcome thorny hurdles, says Harish

Since the movement for separate Telangana, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi successfully crossed several thorny hurdles, said former Minister and MLA Harish Rao.
Addressing a meeting at Konda Mallaiah Gardens here on Saturday to convey gratitude to the people of Siddipet for having elected him as MLA, he said the BRS can counter threats and attacks successfully.
The BRS leaders did not buckle under pressure in the combined Andhra Pradesh though the party had just 10 seats in the Assembly then, he recalled. The party leaders and activists continued to fight for the rights of the people in the Telangana region.
What stopped the Congress from implementing a Rs 2 lakh loan waiver to the farmers, Rs 50,00 bonus for procurement of paddy, paying Rs 4,000 pension to senior citizens under the Aasara scheme and implementation of free power up to 200 units a month to households, he questioned.
The ruling party leaders should exhibit a lot of patience, he said, while accusing the Congress of trying to find ways to not implement six guarantees.

He categorically stated that the BRS alone can protect the interests of the people of Telangana, but not the BJP and the Congress.
