BRS Delhi office inaugural a low-key affair

BRS national president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao inaugurated the BRS central office at Vasant Vihar in New Delhi on Thursday. 

Unlike on previous occasions, the inaugural function was a low- key affair with the Chief Minister staying in Delhi for just a few hours. He returned to Hyderabad by evening. This time not many legislators went to Delhi for the function. 

Sources said that the Chief Minister himself had made it clear during the party meeting that it was not essential for MLAs to attend the function in Delhi and that they should rather stay put in their respective constituencies. Moreover, there was no clarity among karyakartas even about the CM’s presence at the inaugural. 

KCR hoisted the BRS flag on the premises of the BRS Bhavan, followed by the performance of Vedic pujas. Amid chants of Vedic hymns, the BRS Chief inaugurated BRS Bhavan at the auspicious time of 1.05 pm by cutting the ribbon.  

After inaugurating the BRS building, KCR occupied the BRS chief’s seat and took charge by signing documents.  Accompanied by State Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy, Ministers KT Rama Rao, Prashanth Reddy, MP Joginapalli Santosh Kumar, and Prabhakar Reddy, the BRS supremo took charge in his chambers. BRS party MPs, Ministers, other leaders, and activists congratulated KCR on the occasion.

Posters and banners welcoming were displayed all along the 2- km stretch around the new BRS office.  The entire BRS building was aglow with religious fervour of Yagam and chanting of Vedic mantras by priests.  

BRS workers thronged the office premises quite early. This led to excitement among leaders and party workers. Amid high security provided to KCR, party leaders and activists greeted the BRS chief with bouquets. Party leaders and workers indulged in big celebrations after the inauguration.      

A thick security blanket was thrown around the BRS head office. Telangana and Delhi police tightened security from the Vasant Vihar Metro station to BRS Bhavan. Normal vehicular traffic was regulated for a while. The inauguration of the BRS office was held amid tight security arrangements.

The magnificent office of BRS Bhavan has been designed in compliance with Vastu sastra requirements. The BRS party chief’s office is established on the first floor of the building. Separate chambers have been allotted to the BRS president and working president. A total of 18 rooms are available additionally in the BRS Bhavan for other purposes. A spacious hall will be used for party meetings in the BRS Bhavan. The expansion of the BRS party will speed up with the opening of the BRS party central office in the national capital.
