Must read

With the loss of power, the BRS leaders have apparently felt like a fish out of the water. They are not able to live without power. If they feel that none else but them alone should rule the state, the people will not tolerate them, warne Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) president Kodandaram.
But what is important is to run the State administration along the democratic lines. The belief among the politicians that they can manipulate politics with money power can no longer succeed , he felt.
He was delivering lecture at a workshop titled “Democratic rule and role of those who have taken part in movement for the Telangana” held here on Sunday under the aegis of PV-Huzurabad District sadhana samiti.
The BRS government divided districts further into smaller districts ignoring the identity of the districts. But the present regime is keen on appointing a commission soon to divide the districts into smaller ones as per the wishes of the people. He also suggested that the officials take into consideration the geographical identity while delimiting the Assembly constituencies.
Former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, prior to introducing economic reforms at the national level, was also instrumental to bring diesel engine to the Telangana region for the first time. He also learnt computer and learned to type in Telugu at the age of 80 years and used to typewrite his own books. PV was always at the forefront to move forward with the modern times.
