BRS leaders protest seeking free LRS

Former legislator of Nalgonda K Bhupal Reddy has charged Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Ministers N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Sitakka with adopting double standards on the Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS).
Addressing the media here on Thursday after submitting a memorandum to the District Collector demanded that the government carry out LRS free.
Bhupal Reddy, who led a delegation of BRS leaders to the District Collectorate, suggested implementing the LRS without any penal fee as it would give relief to the people belonging to middle-class. The government has plans to collect at least Rs 20,000 crore through LRS from the people belonging to the milled-class and the poor, he alleged. He recalled that Komatireddy Venkat Reddy protested when the BRS decided to collect the fee for regulation of land. Now, he kept silent, he said.
Market Committee chairmen Ch Pankaj Yadav, B Sudhakar, former municipal chairman M Saidi Reddy, municipal floor leader Abhimanyu Srinivas and other BRS functionaries were present.
