At last, a BRS office opened in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday without the presence of the BRS president Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and its Working President KT Ramarao. Only Andhra Pradesh BRS leaders and cadres attended the opening function.
Nowadays, BRS President KCR is visiting Maharashtra frequently to build his party network there. KCR is also not getting an appropriate occasion to enter Andhra Pradesh.
The people of Andhra Pradesh opposed the division of the state, but KCR succeeded in achieving a separate Telangana state. So the people of Andhra Pradesh are angry with KCR, who changed the name of his regional party TRS to BRS to go national.
KCR, who thought that he can enter Andhra Pradesh by opposing the privatisation of Vizag Steel Plant (VSP) failed to do so and he is not getting another suitable chance.
If that had happened, KCR would have opened the BRS office in Andhra Pradesh after organising a huge public meeting.
As there is no other alternative, Andhra Pradesh BRS President Dr Thota Chandrasekhar himself inaugurated the party office. The office is housed in a new five-storied building at Autonagar in Guntur.
The BRS opened its office in Andhra Pradesh as it is planning to contest the AP Assembly elections scheduled for 2024.
The Andhra Pradesh BRS office has five floors. The meeting hall of BRS activists is located on the first floor and the administrative wing is located on the second and third floors. There is a big hall to welcome party activists and guests.
Thota said that party programmes will be managed from this office. About 1,000 leaders and activists from various districts joined the BRS on the occasion of the opening of the party office.
KCR would take BRS to Madya Pradesh next as he said at a recent meeting held with party leaders.
Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections would be held along with Telangana assembly elections and so KCR thinks that it is an appropriate time to enter Madhya Pradesh.
KCR may field BRS candidates if he enters Madhya Pradesh now as only six months are left for the MP Assembly elections.
