Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has declared that the Bharat Rashtra Samiti”rejects the Uniform Civil Code”. KCR said that, afterignoring the development of the country, the BJP-led central government, which is already creating a wedge between the people of the country in many ways, is plotting to divide the people of the country in the name of Uniform Civil Code.

The BRS party national president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has made it clear that they would categorically reject the decisions taken by the Central Government to break the unity of people, and as part of that, they are opposing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Bill. With the UCC Bill, there are tribals with special culture and many religions in the country who will be impacted.

The CM said that, apart from castes and regions, people who practice Hinduism are also confused.

Chandrasekhar Rao met on Monday All India Muslim Personal Law Board members under the chairmanship of Khalid Saifullah Rehmani, president of the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board, to oppose the UCC Bill, which could put an end to diversity among people of the country as well as traditional cultural practices that have evolved over generations.

Along with the delegation was AIMIM party president and MP Asaduddin Owaisi, MLA Akbaruddin, Ministers Mahmood Ali, KTR, board executive members and others.

On this occasion, KCR said, “It is clear that the UCC decision that the central government wants to implement is malicious.”

The BJP government has neglected the development of the people of the country and the public welfare for the past nine years, ignoring the many problems that need to be solved in the country.

As if there is nothing to do in the country, the BJP is once again indulging in divisive politics to provoke the people and create unnecessary quarrels.

That’s why we strongly oppose the UCC Bill that the BJP wants to bring.”

The Telangana CM made it clear that he would oppose the Bill in the upcoming Parliament sessions. He said he would also bringtogether likeminded parties to oppose the Bill.

In this regard, KCR directed parliamentary party leaders K. Keshav Rao and Nama Nageshwar Rao to prepare the ground for the activities to be undertaken in both houses of Parliament.

On behalf of all the people of the country, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board thanked KCR for understanding their request and responding immediately to the decision and striving to protect the cultural traditions of the people of the country, & protecting the Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb. Owaisi said, “We met with the Telangana CM KCR and discussed with him the UCC proposed by the BJP govt. We informed the CM that this is not only a Muslim issue but also a Christian issue; it will destroy the beauty and the culture of the nation. Even Hindus will be affected by this. If UCC is introduced, the pluralism of the nation will be finished which is not a good thing. PM Modi, BJP, and RSS don’t like pluralism, though it is the beauty of our nation. We will also appeal to CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to oppose this”.
