BRS supremo Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said ‘Ab ki Baar Kisan Sarkar’ is the only agenda of the BRS.Addressing party workers on the party’s Formation Day at Telangana Bhavan KCR said, “For the welfare of the country’s farming community and all other sections development, BRS is moving forward with the slogan ‘Ab Ki Baar Kisan Sarkar.’ (This time farmers’ government).”
KCR asserted that he would formulate new national policies to correct the failures of current rulers and to ensure the comprehensive development of this country.KCR said that needs India needs policies to facilitate progress in economic, water, power, agriculture, environment, weaker sections, women empowerment, health, and education sectors.
He said that retired judges, former bureaucrats and experts have been engaged for this.
KCR said the BRS office in New Delhi will be inaugurated on December 14 at Sardar Patel Marg. The new office under construction in New Delhi would be completed by next April from where the party will function.
Former judges, economists, sociologists and intellectuals are working out to formulate modalities, KCR said.
“If the people of India give us the opportunity, the BRS will supply 24-hour electricity hours even to remote villages across the country. We will provide Dalit Bandhu to 25 lakh families every year. The BRS will initiate the method of people winning politics.
Dictatorship in governance should end. The federal spirit should continue. Autonomy should be implemented. As special action plan would be implemented to ensure the progress of Dalit Bahujans and weaker sections,” KCR said.
“Like Telangana, we will develop India on a mega scale. No other country in the world has excellent water resources and arable land like India. With these facilities, India should have become the food basket of the world.Conspiracies are being hatched to turn youth into fanatics. This needs to be changed. It should start from BRS. As part of this, the BRS should spread its ideology and create awareness among people,” KCR said.
He said the BRS stands for the progress of the country. “Let us implement new policies in place of the ‘evil’ policies followed by the Central Government,” he said.
Stating that politics is not about a party winning and losing elections, KCR said, “People should win elections. People’s representatives should win.The BRS is formed to bring in transformation. If someone does not light the lamp of consciousness, darkness will continue in this country. The BRS is the light that illuminates the darkness.”
The agriculture sector is being neglected. In this background, this country needs a New Agriculture Policy.
“It is unfortunate that water wars are going on despite having surplus water. The wars between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka for Cauvery water needs to be settled. The continuing water wars and misguided tribunals need to be improved. For this, this country needs a New Water Policy,” KCR said.
He said that like Telangana’s Haritha Haram India needs a new environmental policy.
“Telangana was achieved because we put facts before the people. With the same spirit, when all facts can be brought before the people the pink flag will be hoisted on Delhi’s Red Fort. History has proved that wherever the seeds of revolution are sowed success is possible,” KCR said.
“Let’s spread the light of BRS all over the country. Let’s continue our journey with BRS by placing the ‘crown of glory’ of Telangana at the feet of Bharath Mata,” KCR added.
KCR garlanded the statue of Telangana Talli and conducted a special pooja to Goddess Trailokya Mohana Gauri at the Telangana Bhavan. Vedic scholars blessed the Chief Minister.
KCR unveiled the pink flag of the BRS and signed the official documents of the party at the auspicious time of 1.20 pm on Friday.
After opening remarks of BRS Secretary General Rajya Sabha Member K. Keshava Rao, the BRS’ formation meeting started. Later, Lok Sabha leader Nama Nageswara Rao spoke.
Karnataka JD(S) President Kumaraswamy addressed the meeting and extended his wishes. He said that he is confident that India will see a qualitative change.
