BRS workers asked not to despair but show mettle in panchayat polls

Must read

Former minister and BRS legislator from Siddipet T Harish Rao has called upon the BRS rank and file not to despair over the electoral reverses suffered by the BRS and assured them that the party would hold the workers close to its chest.
Instead of wallowing over the defeat, the party workers should prove their mettle in forthcoming panchayat and Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing the party workers as the chief guest at a meeting held to convey the party’s gratitude to workers here on Tuesday, Harish Rao noted that the BRS faced trouble all over the State, but not in Sangareddy. Though the party candidate Chinta Prabhakar was not keeping good health, the party workers worked hard for his success.
He cautioned the party workers that the ruling party would attempt to disrupt the confidence of the BRS. When the TRS was founded, the new organisation faced many problems. In spite of it, the TRS overcame the problems and ultimately achieved success. The Congress had an alliance with the TRS but did not keep its promise on Telangana. No other party would have any love to develop Telangana except KCR, he said.
He said that the TRS leaders regarded power and position as not being important and relinquished them at the drop of a hat and worked hard for 14 years to get statehood to Telangana.
The BRS was never overwhelmed with joy when saddled with power and did not despair when it was out of power. When the BRS was the ruling party or in the opposition, it always sided with the people.
The BRS strove hard to take Telangana State to number one position in all spheres of activity, he said.
The people gave mandate to the Congress to rule Telangana, he said, adding, “Let us wish that the Congress will fare better than the BRS.”
Further, he appealed to the party workers, saying, “Let us fight for implementation of the promises made by the Congress to the people.”
