Basar Circle Inspector Vinod Reddy visited the two houses from which the burglars stole valuables. He, along with policemen and the Clues team, examined the houses. Kapil Kuma and Shaik Moeen from Kirgul village lodged a complaint with the police that the burglars broke into their houses and decamped with valuables.

The miscreants stole ornaments weighing seven tolas from Kapil Kumar’s house and 30 grams of gold from the house of Moeen. The gold stolen was worth about Rs 3.40 lakh, the police said. The incidents, the police said, could have taken place in the early hours of Thursday.

The police intensified patrolling in the mandal centres. Special police teams were formed to nab the culprits, according to officials. The police suspected that the burglars hailed from north India.
