Call to complete randomization of EVMs

In view of State Assembly elections, Hyderabad District Deputy Electoral Officer (DEO) Anudeep Durishetti has directed the officials to complete the randomization and commissioning of EVMs.
The DEO visited the DRCs of Sanat Nagar, Secunderabad and Secunderabad Cantonment constituencies and inspected the EVMs Distribution and Reception Centres (DRS) there.
Speaking to the Returning Officers in DRCs, the DEO said, “that election rules and regulations must be strictly followed and randomization should be conducted in the presence of representatives of political parties.
Officials should commission EVMs without any mistakes.”
“The representatives of the political parties will be given a list of which ballot box has been allocated to which polling centre through randomization and they can be checked on the polling day,” he added.
The officials were instructed on the precautions to be taken while conducting the mock polling to be done in the presence of the representatives of the political parties. Returning Officers, Assistant Returning Officers and concerned officers attended the programme.
