VIJAYAWADA: Taking into consideration the request of MP YS Avinash Reddy for postponement, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has served a fresh notice to the YSRCP’s Kadapa MP for questioning in connection with the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy. In the latest summons issued to the MP, the investigation agency has asked Avinash Reddy to appear before the CBI in Hyderabad on March 10. The CBI has also rescheduled the date of questioning to March 12 for YS Bhaskar Reddy, the father of Avinash Reddy, in the case. As per the summons issued by the CBI, YS Avinash Reddy was supposed to turn up at the CBI office in Hyderabad on March 6, 2023, for further questioning.

However, the MP expressed his inability to appear before the agency, citing pre-scheduled official engagements on Monday and requested for a postponement. Though initially, the CBI insisted the MP be present on Monday itself without fail, the CBI eventually yielded to the Kadapa MP’s request and revised the date to March 10. While YS Avinash Reddy will be attending the questioning in Hyderabad, the CBI however asked his father YS Bhaskar Reddy to appear before it in Kadapa on March 12 for questioning.
