CBN playing with poor people’s pensions: Nani

Former minister and Machilipatnam MLA Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) has said that YSRCP is proud of the fact that every month on the first, it used to distribute pensions seamlessly. But TDP and its allied organisations complained to the EC and blocked the pension. “Have we, in the past, ever thwarted your schemes? No,” said Nani, adding, “this clearly exposes our honest intent to serve, and their determination to undo all the good we have done.
Nani praised Jagan Mohan Reddy for ensuring that pensions were distributed on the first of every month, which is history.
Perni pointed out that during the 2019 elections they did not stop the distribution of money to farmers through the Janmabhoomi Committees. Money was distributed to TDP workers through Janmabhoomi Committees. However, they did not complain to the EC to stop the money being deposited in the name of Pasupu Kumkuma. Now, TDP gives lectures against YSRCP to the EC, said Nani. Chandrababu tried to attract the voters with Pasupu Kumkuma and Rythu Nestam, but the people who were deceived taught the TDP a good lesson in the 2019 elections.
Nani said that Chandrababu has come up with the wretched idea of stopping pensions of the poor people across the State. He pointed out that the YSRCP government provided 1.6 lakh secretariat jobs soon after taking the reins of the State. But the Opposition falsely propagated that not a single job was given. The Opposition, which said that jobs were not given by YSRC, is now saying that YSRCP has given 1.6 lakh jobs.
Perni Nani said that after YS Jagan Mohan Reddy became CM, more than two lakh people were employed. The youth got jobs without bribes. He criticised Chandrababu for shamelessly blaming the Jagan Mohan Reddy government. He appealed to the voters whether they would vote for five years of administration under the YSRCP regime or for those who gave pensions just two months before the 2019 elections. He pointed out why the people did not vote for TDP when Chandrababu gave Rs 40,000 crore.
Nani further said that YSRCP has been distributing pensions at people’s doorstep for 58 months. “By stopping the pensions for just two months, will the beneficiaries’ love for Jagan decrease? If the volunteer system is evil, then the people will defeat us,” Perni Nani said.
