SHIDDAT actor Sunny Kaushal has come up with a new song, Jhandey, for which he is not only the singer but has also written the lyrics. The Pioneer’s SHIKHA DUGGAL connected with the actor-singer to learn about his latest work, rapping, among others.

Embarking on this new journey, the former assistant director elaborated further: “Sitting for the musical production of your own song is just so memorable. I was an ardent fan of BHARG KALE, so when I contacted him, he found my piece worthy enough to give his music to it. So gracious of Bharg. I felt like a student, as if I had been assigned a project to work on: how do you sound before the mic? Initially, we weren’t happy with my recordings; we had to rework. I rewrote some of the stanzas on the spot.”
He aims to release many more unspoken words and unsung songs through his independent channel. “SUNSUNNYKHEZ will be my stage name from now on. I intended to do a video for the song, but I got occupied with the shoot of SHIDDAT 2. I was discussing it with one of my close friends who does VFX really well. So we created the visuals in two days! The cover of the song was really important. Now I will do both jobs: acting and singing. There is nothing to balance here; I have a family too, and I give them equal importance, so music is just a new addition to my life, that’s all. Even I am in a phase of discovery,” shared the GOLD fame.
Sharing with us exclusively his first pinch-me moment, the son of the famous action director of this industry, Sunny, continues, “When I got a call to star alongside Akshay Kumar, I couldn’t believe my stars that it’s happening. I began my training in hockey immediately. And now I am exploring a new avenue altogether, so wish me luck.”
