Revanth invokes RSS founder in LS

PNS|Hyderabad

At a time when the Bharat Rashtra Samiti is hellbent on labelling TPCC chief Revanth Reddy as ‘RSS person’, the Member of Parliament from Malkajgiri invoked the founder of RSS to call out Centre’s discrimination against Telangana. He participated in the debate on the No-Confidence Motion moved by the INDIA Alliance in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

In his speech, Revanth said: “Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, belongs to Telangana and is from Nizamabad. Hedgewar founded the RSS in Nagpur in 1925. Don’t show your anger on Telangana from where the RSS founder comes”.

Revanth Reddy said that the BJP had been following the policy of ‘divide and rule’ in the country for the past nine years. BJP was trying to consolidate its power by fostering communal animosity in many parts of the country, including Manipur.

Revanth described BJP was ‘British Janata Party’ and NDA as ‘Nation Divide Alliance’.He said that the Prime Minister looked down on tribals. “Everyone thought that he would come to Parliament on World Adivasi Day and respond to the attacks on tribals and adivasis in the country, but he did not come. The Prime Minister is indifferent to tribals and adivasis.”

Revanth demanded that the Prime Minister should tender an apology to the nation for the attacks in Manipur. Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, who ought to be held responsible for the burning of girls and the beheading of people in Manipur, are hunting for votes in Karnataka, he accused. In view of the attacks on tribals in Manipur, the people of Karnataka had rejected the attempts to use Ram and Bajrang Dal for politics.
