CEO sacked without IT Minister’s go-ahead?

When the administration is in a state of flux due to regime change, those who have held a commanding position in the outgoing government cannot resist giving a parting shot to those whom they dislike, whatever be the reason. In Telangana, amid wide expectations of administrative overhaul, CEO of T-works, T-Fiber and Electronics wing Sujai Karampuri was the only person to be noticeably fired. The heads of T-Hub, We-Hub, T-SAT, TSIC, RICH or of any of the other wings of IT department continue in their existing position. The whispers in the corridors of power are that the new IT Minister D Sridhar Babu was unaware of the sacking of Sujai. IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan reportedly gave the CEO the marching orders due to past rifts. A little bird told us that all these people, who had been cherry-picked, were told by KTR to resign after knowledge transfer. Sujai had played a key role in bringing Foxconn to Hyderabad and now the future of at least this investment channel is uncertain for now. Sridhar Babu, a seasoned politician, would not have terminated anyone’s services at the drop of a hat, a wag commented.
