Chaari 111: Fairly good comedy drama

Must read

Plot
Chaari 111 is a story that revolves around a man named Chaari (played by Vennela Kishore). He is a spy who is assigned to deal with an important mission, which is about finding a terrorist who is responsible for a bomb blast in Hyderabad. How he solves the case and his way of spying are the remaining stories. In this, he has Samyuktha Viswanathan play the other agent along with him.

Performances
First and foremost, the lead actor, Vennela Kishore, in the movie is not portrayed in the conventional protagonist style. He had his own way of heroism, where he made full use of his comedy prowess to lead the center stage. He got to do action and comedy, and it was fresh to watch Kishore entertain the audience throughout the film. His character has been well designed, and some of his scenes with the villain come across in the most hilarious way. On the other hand, Samyukta Vishwanathan, as a fellow agent, was good at her part. She too had some action scenes to perform, and never for a moment did she overdramatise them. She performed all her stunts with ease. Murali Sharma, Taagubothu Ramesh, and Satya were good in their parts.

Analysis
The film takes off on a good note. The first half of the movie has good comedy to make you laugh out loud. The comedy, although silly, will tickle your funny bone. While the first half is all comedy, the second half gets a bit serious, which the audience might not expect, leading to a slight disappointment. If at all the same comedy continued in the second half as well, it would’ve worked as a great comedy film for us. That being said, the movie, for us, makes for an entertaining watch, solely because of Vennela Kishore, who drives the whole film. Of course, logic has gone for a toss in this film, but the director handled the whole story well, and the way he narrated it was engaging, except for the second half. His lead character was well-written and well-shown. On the other hand, the music goes perfectly well with the whole story. The editing was okay, as some shots could’ve been crisp and neat.

Conclusion
In all, the movie has a good dose of comedy in the first half and a bit of seriousness in the second half. Both put together, it might work for some and the other way around for others. Vennela Kishore is the star of the show and entertains the audience throughout. Overall, this is a good weekend watch.
