Children exhorted to excel in studies

District Judge YVSBG Parthasarathi has exhorted children to excel in studies to reach heights in life and not to use mobile phones constantly. A programme was organised here on Monday on the occasion of Children’s Day here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion the district Judge exhorted children to be energetic and study well. He asked them to maintain distance from the use of mobile phones constantly. He also advised children not to get married at a young age. He asked the children welfare Samiti to take care of the children who need protection.

District Collector M Venugopal Reddy said that if children study hard with discipline under the guidelines set by teachers and parents, they would be happy throughout their lives. Children should study diligently as education would help a lot to progress. Children’s Rights Week is organized every year on the occasion of Children’s Day to promote the laws implemented by the Constitution for the protection of children, the Collector informed.

ZP chairperson Henri Christina said that the first Prime Minister of India Jawahar Lal Nehru had a lot of love for children, so his birthday is celebrated as Children’s Day. The children of today are the citizens of tomorrow and they should study hard and achieve their goals. State Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has brought many changes in the education sector and is implementing developmental welfare programmes so that children of all communities could study well using the benefits of the schemes, the ZP chairperson said.

District legal services authorities secretary Ratnakumar said that the Constitution bestows the right to education to the children and he exhorted the children to excel in studies and assured them to extend needed support. MLA M Giridhar also spoke. Manoranjani, Project Director of the District Women and Child Welfare Department, Child Welfare Committee Chairperson Pramila Rani, Good Shepherd Convent Sister Diane, Bachapan Bachao Andolan Organization District Coordinator Tirupati Rao, and Child Protection Officer Durga were among those who were present.
