Christian Bishop Council Chairman Dr Y Praveen, along with president Balaraju and secretary V David Raju, met Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha on Tuesday after the Cabinet meeting in the secretariat.
Dr Y Praveen discussed with Amzath Basha the High Tea (Christmas Retreat) programme to be officially organised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. He also discussed the problems being faced by Christians in Andhra Pradesh. The Christian leader further asked the Minister to allocate Christian cemetery, steps to ensure that all pastors get honorarium, ensure solution to the problem of Dalit Christians, and simplify the provisions related to the construction and repairs of churches. The Minister assured that the government will take steps to solve the problems.
