Apple Home Real Need India Foundation announced a two-day Christmas carnival, Mix and Mingle event on December 22 and 23 at Om Convention Lawns in Narsingi, Hyderabad.
This event aims to raise awareness and support for Mission Bhadrata, a noble cause dedicated to providing innerwear to two lakh girl children.
The highlight of the carnival is the introduction of this initiative to esteemed socialites, film and celebrity personalities, encouraging them to join in furthering the cause for the year 2024.
The event was inaugurated Friday by Dansari Anasuya (Seethakka), Minister for Women and Child Welfare, Telangana, in the presence of YS Vimalamma and other esteemed guests.
As part of the inauguration, approximately 100 underprivileged girls were presented with their first set of innerwear by the Minister and several celebrities. The children also had an opportunity to enjoy the Christmas village and indulge in delicious food and treats. Seethakka expressed admiration for the commendable initiative undertaken by the foundation in organising the innerwear distribution programme for girls and expressed gratitude for being invited to the event where innerwear was distributed to children aged 5 to 13 years. She acknowledged the prevalent poverty and lack of clothing faced by many in villages.
Emphasising the significance of wearing innerwear, particularly during challenging weather conditions, she highlighted the financial hardships faced by individuals who are unable to protect themselves from the cold, sun and rain. She also expressed excitement for the upcoming Christmas celebrations in Raboy, which will serve as an opportunity for further donations to support children in need.
The Minister called upon humanitarian figures and NGOs to step forward and contribute to similar innovative programmes, thereby uplifting the impoverished sections of the society.
The  carnival features various programmes  such as stand-up comedy by Abhijeet Deshpande, live performances by women DJ Flooza and DJ NAD, New York-inspired Christmas village, a Santa Claus photo booth, top brands shopping stalls and enticing food and beverage stalls.
