The investigation agency says that notices under section 41 A CrPC were issued to those who are named as accused in the case and 160 CrPC were issued to those being examined as witnesses. The investigation officer from CID issued notices in connection with the ongoing investigation on designing the master plan of Amaravati and the alignment of the Inner Ring Road.
The agency carried out searches at their Hyderabad residences in Kondapur, Madhapur, Kukatpally, and Gachibowli areas.
The notices pertain to alleged Amaravati master plan irregularities and the agency reportedly seized documents regarding transactions for 148 acres of land in Amaravati.
Former ministers and others in the government reportedly put farmers under the apprehension that lands would be taken away by the government in the land-pooling scheme without giving them a package.
In January, similar raids were conducted at the premises of NSPIRA Management Services Pvt Ltd, a company that belongs to Narayana’s son-in-law, Puneeth Kothapa. The raids were conducted on the information of cash flow to buy illegal and benami purchases of assigned land in 2014, and 2015.
Cases were registered against TDP leader and ex-chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, Narayana, and some others on the basis of a sub-committee report on alleged insider trading in Amaravati.
P Narayana was a cabinet minister in the TDP government and also the founder of the Narayana group of institutions.
