The Crime Investigation Department (CID) questioned TDP leader Nara Lokesh for the second consecutive day on Wednesday over the alleged Inner Ring Road alignment scam in Amaravati. The CID questioned him from 10 am to 5 pm.

After the questioning, Lokesh told the media that though the AP High Court had directed CID to conduct an interrogation for only one day, he attended the second day as per the instructions of the CID officials.

They asked 47 questions. The same questions were asked on the second day, Lokesh said.
He said CID officials showed IT returns documents of his mother Bhuvaneshwari and sought details, to which he replied to ask Bhuvaneshwari’s auditor.

He questioned CID how they got the IT returns of Bhuvaneshwari, but CID did not answer.
“Only four or five questions were asked regarding the Inner Ring Road case and other questions were regarding other departments during the TDP regime, regarding which I have no knowledge,” Lokesh said.

Lokesh complained that his time was wasted unnecessarily for two days in the name of questioning over the alleged Inner Ring Road scam, while the Inner Ring Road does not exist. Even land acquisition has not been done.

Speaking about the skill development case, Lokesh said two officials, L Premchandra Reddy and Ajeya Kallam, who did the process and signed the papers pertaining to the Skill Development Corporation, were not investigated. But Chandrababu Naidu, who framed the policy, was sent in remand.
