Home Minister Taneti Vanita has said that the CID police would be ordered to investigate the circumstances which led to the suicide of Bontha Mahendra (23) at Dommeru mandal.
Talking to the media in Kovvur on Friday, the Home Minister denied that she was involved in the incident. She said that the opposition party leaders were indulging in mudslinging acts on her in the case. The opposition leaders were unnecessarily dragging her into the suicide issue, and she alleged.
“I have appealed to Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for a CID inquiry on the circumstances which forced Bontha Mahendra to commit suicide. The Chief Minister responded favourably to the order for a CID probe on the incident,” the Home Minister made it clear.
