M Ravindra Babu, Technician-1, Signal and Telecommunications Department at Gudur, won the gold medal at the Senior National Ball Badminton Championship at Kollam in Kerala on December 28. Ravindra Babu represented the Indian Railway Ball Badminton team in the 68th Senior National Ball Badminton Championship.
The Indian Railways team secured first place by beating the Tamil Nadu team in the Finals. Earlier, Ravindra Babu participated in the All India Railway Ball Badminton Championship held at ICF, Chennai in November 2022 by representing the South Central Railway team and was selected for the Indian Railway team for his best individual performance.
Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Shivendra Mohan, ADRM (Infrastructure) D Srinivasa Rao, ADRM (Operations) M Srikant, Divisional Sports Officer and Division Security Commissioner Valleswara B Tokkala, Senior DSTE R Viswanath Reddy congratulated Ravindra Babu for winning the gold medal.
