CM angry over Cabinet Sub-Committee revealing caste census details?

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is angry over the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Caste Census revealing details of the caste census at the media conference held on Sunday after the Planning Commission submitted the report to the Cabinet Sub-Committee, it is learnt.
The Chief Minister is unhappy with the Cabinet Sub-Committee for revealing the break-up of communities in the caste census report. It is learnt that the Chief Minister directed the Cabinet Sub-Committee to reveal details only after the Cabinet’s approval and discussions in the Assembly.
It may be recalled that the Cabinet Sub-Committee revealed the community break-ups found during the caste census. Committee Chairman N. Uttam Kumar Reddy had addressed the media along with Committee members Damodara Raja Narasimha, Ponnam Prabhakar and Seethakka.
The Cabinet Sub-Committee cancelled its press conference on SC categorisation scheduled for Monday at 3 pm. The CM is not happy with the criticism on social media about details of the Caste Census report, it is learnt.
It is learnt that the government is going to make an important announcement in the Assembly on SC categorisation in the context of the Delhi Assembly elections.
It may be recalled that the Congress
Government in Telangana appointed Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy as the Chairman of the Cabinet Sub-Committee for implementation of the Supreme Court’s verdict regarding SC Categorisation on September 12, 2024.
The government appointed Health Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha as the co-chairman and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu, BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and Panchayatraj Minister Seethakka and Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi as members of the Cabinet Sub-Committee.
The government also appointed former High Court judge Shamim Akther as a single member Judicial Commission as per the recommendations of the Cabinet Sub-Committee.
The Commission submitted its report to the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Monday at the secretariat. The Cabinet Sub-Committee will submit the report to the Cabinet on Tuesday after discussing it.
The recommendations of the one-member judicial commission and sub-committee on SC classification will be presented to the Cabinet at the Cabinet meeting scheduled on Tuesday at 10 am.
Later, a special session of the Assembly will be held on the same day and it will hold a brief discussion on the recommendations made by the sub-committee on classification.
