The CM Cup 2024, now in its second phase, is witnessing enthusiastic participation at the mandal level across all towns and villages in Telangana. Following the successful conclusion of the village-level competitions on December 7 and 8, the winners have advanced to compete at the mandal level.
The competitions feature six main events: athletics, volleyball, football, yoga, kho-kho, and kabaddi. Additionally, in response to local demand, other popular sports are being included at various mandals, making the event diverse and inclusive. Several public representatives and officials are gracing these events as chief guests, boosting the morale of the participants. For instance, Panchayat Raj Minister Seethaakka inaugurated kabaddi competitions in a mandal in Mulugu district, setting an inspiring tone for the games.
Similarly, local leaders and officials in various constituencies are contributing to the successful organisation of the competitions, encouraging budding athletes and ensuring smooth execution of events. District Collectors, in collaboration with departments such as Panchayat Raj and Education, are coordinating the events to ensure their success. Government officials across various sectors are actively involved in monitoring and supervising the competitions. The mandal-level winners from the ongoing competitions will advance to the district-level events scheduled from December 16. The current phase will conclude with three days of intense matches on December 10, 11, and 12, finalizing the representatives for the next stage. The Telangana Sports Authority has set up a monitoring cell at its headquarters in LB Stadium to oversee the proceedings. This cell is streamlining the online documentation of player details, competition results, and updates from mandals, ensuring seamless coordination across all levels.
With vibrant participation and meticulous planning, the CM Cup 2024 continues to be a grand celebration of sportsmanship and talent across Telangana.
