CM Jagan to launch distribution of tabs

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will launch the distribution of tablet computers to over 5 lakh students and teachers at a programme to be held at Yadlapalli village in Tsundur mandal on December 21.

Deputy Chief Minister and also district in-charge minister Kottu Satyanarayana here on Monday inspected the arrangements for the Chief Minister’s programme along with district Collector Vijaya Krishnan and SP Vakul Jindal.

The minister along with the Collector and SP inspected the dais, parking slots, VIP enclosure in the ZP high school grounds. They also saw the helipad and the security arrangements. The minister asked the Collector and the SP to ensure that the students and their parents who attend the meeting should not face any problem during the meeting. He directed them to complete the rest of the arrangements on war footing.

Talking to the media, minister Kottu Satyanarayana the Chief Minister would launch the distribution of tablet computers to the students on Wednesday coinciding his ‘birthday’. MPs Beeda Bastana Rao, Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, JC K Srinivasulu and Additional SP Mahesh were among those who accompanied the minister.

Meanwhile, official sources said that the distribution of tablet computers to over 5 lakh school students and teachers across the state is part of the revolutionary changes being brought in the school education, adding that over 4.50 lakh school students and over 52,000 school teachers would be given the tablet computers.The government schools in the state are being renovated under the Nadu-Nedu programme at par with the private schools, the officials added.
