‘Jagananna cultural festival open’

The two-day State-level ‘Jagananna Swarnotsava Samskritika Sambaralu’ to find out the hidden talent of artists, began on a grand note at the Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada on Monday. Minister for Tourism and Culture and Youth Services RK Roja inaugurated the celebrations along with Minister for Housing Jogi Ramesh.

Also, she opened the ‘Art Exhibition’ at the Tummalapalli Kalakshetram. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his family photos were displayed in the exhibition. As part of the festivals, minister Roja danced along with Lambada Dance artists and encouraged them.

Speaking on the occasion, minister Roja said that to protect the Telugu Cultural and Tradition, the state government is conducting ‘Jagananna Swarnotsava Samskritika Sambaralu’ across the state. She said that these celebrations were conducted in Guntur, Tirupati, Rajamahendravaram and Visakhapatnam zones.

“Arts are always alive. There is no doubt to provide Culture and Tradition for future generations. The state government is giving that confidence to the artists. By conducting these festivals, the state government will find artists and take necessary steps to provide welfare schemes from the state government,” she said.

She further said that after completion of the zonal-level competitions, a State-level programme would take place in Vijayawada.
