CM sanctions financial assistance

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has shown his compassion towards the ill and suffering families by instantly instructing the District Collector S Naga Lakshmi to take steps and provide help.

During his visit here on Wednesday to lay the foundation stone for the international airport at Bhogapuram, Y Anasuya (38) from Perepi village told the Chief Minister that her sister mother of two children was suffering from Parkinson’s disease for the last six years.

Doctors after examining her health suggested surgery. Due to poor finances, they are not in a position to provide better treatment for her. Moved by her plight, the Chief Minister sanctioned an immediate relief of Rs 1 lakh to her.

In another instance, P Lakshmi Lavanya from Kandasi village told the Chief Minister that her daughter was suffering from eye cancer. She further said that she had spent Rs 2 lakh so far for the treatment. However, the disease has not been cured and requested the Chief Minister to help and support her daughter. The Chief Minister assured of providing required medical support for the girl on behalf of the government.

N Suresh, a differently-abled person from Surampet village, told the Chief Minister that he pursued B.Sc degree and it has become a tough task for him to meet his family needs. The Chief Minister has directed the Collector to take necessary action in this regard.

Reddy Thotaiah from Dallipeta told the Chief Minister that he lost his hands after suffering an electric shock. So far, he has spent Rs 4 lakh for his treatment and didn’t receive any support. The Chief Minister has assured of providing financial assistance to his family.

Suffering families expressed their happiness over the Chief Minister’s quick response.
