Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will honour 42 students who have achieved exceptional results in their Class 10 examinations at the State level, as well as 26 students who have emerged as top performers in their respective groups in the Intermediate examinations. These students have all studied in government and government-managed institutions and will receive the prestigious ‘Jagananna Animutyalu’ awards during a ceremony at the ‘A’ Convention Centre in Vijayawada on Tuesday.
Furthermore, 20 students from the higher education level, who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in five different categories, will be presented with the ‘State Excellence Awards’.
The Education department officials have announced that the students who have secured ranks will be awarded cash prizes, medals, and merit certificates. The parents of these students will also be felicitated with shawls. In addition, the headmasters/principals of the respective institutions will be honored with a shawl and a memento by the Jagananna Government.
Under the Jagan government, a total of 22,710 students will receive the ‘Jagananna State Brilliance Awards’. For the class 10 category, the top three meritorious students at the state, district, constituency, and school levels will be recognized in each category, namely Zilla Parishad, Municipal, Model, and Tribal/Social Welfare Residential institutions.
Regarding the Intermediate level, awards will be presented to students who have secured the first rank in each group, namely MPC, BiPC, HEC, and CEC/MEC, at the State and district levels. At the constituency level, students who have topped in each group of MPC, BiPC, HEC, and CEC/MEC will be acknowledged.
The officials from the Education department have revealed that the State government has invested Rs 60,329 crore in educational reforms alone over the past four years. From June 12 to 19, the Jagan Mohan Reddy government had honoured the top three meritorious students in the SSC Examinations 2022-23 at the school, constituency, and district levels across the State.
The State government has been implementing groundbreaking reforms in the education sector, aimed at ensuring a bright future for students and encouraging corporate schools to compete with government schools.
