Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will launch the government’s scheme to distribute fine rice through the Public Distribution System (PDS) on Ugadi Day, that is, next Sunday.
The launch will be held in Huzurnagar town in Suryapet district at 6 pm during a public meeting.
The schedule released by Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy says the Chief Minister will take off from Begumpet Airport at 5 pm and land near the Ramaswamy Gutta in Huzurnagar at 5:45 pm. He will first visit the housing colony being built for weaker sections with 2,000 single-bedroom flats before heading to the meeting venue.
The launch of the fine rice distribution scheme will commence at 6:15 pm, followed by a public address. The Chief Minister is expected to return to Hyderabad by road and will reach the city by around 9:45 pm.
Officials of the Civil Supplies Department, Housing Corporation, SERP and the local administration have been directed to make arrangements for the CM’s visit.
