Chief Minister Revanth Reddy would move a condolence motion expressing profound grief at the demise of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh at a special session of the Assembly on Monday. The House will convey its deep sorrow to the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, Speaker Gaddam Prasada Kumar, Legislative Affairs Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu and the Assembly Secretary examined arrangements for the Assembly’s special session on Sunday. They suggested that precautionary measures should be taken to ensure
that Members do not face any problems. They also held a teleconference with the Chief Secretary, top officials, the DGP and other police officials.
The Speaker appealed to the government and officials to extend their cooperation for holding the session and suggested that officials should make arrangements so that the session can be held peacefully.
