YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) spokesperson Jupudi Prabhakar Rao has accused the coalition government of vindictively targeting SC and ST colonies by disconnecting power connections. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, he alleged that power supply was cut off in nearly 20 lakh houses over unpaid bills, even though the consumption was below the prescribed units.

In Buttayagudem, Eluru district, a household was billed Rs 22,000, while another in Annamayya district received a bill of Rs 35,000. Entire villages, such as E Mallavaram in East Godavari, faced disconnections, allegedly for not supporting the coalition.
Accusations of data trackingIn a separate press conference, YSRCP spokesperson Putta Siva Shankar accused the government of tracking private citizens using advanced surveillance technology. He alleged that the coalition government, which had purchased spying software during its 2014-19 term, was continuing similar practices.
