Collector, Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner inspect works

NTR District Collector S Dilli Rao, along with VMC Commissioner Swapnil Dinkar Pundkar, visited Rajiv Gandhi Park and inspected the modernisation works being carried out in the park on Thursday. They inspected the whole area of the park and examined the kind of arrangements made to ensure that the visitors are comfortable and felt spacious.

On the occasion, Collector Dilli Rao said that plants of Amla, Magnolia, jasmine, and fragrant flowers plants should be planted in the empty spaces in the park, and category-wise plants, animals, birds, and toys should be displayed in the Biodiversity Museum in the park. Various suggestions have been made to make the winter season flower plants attractive to visitors to the park everywhere in order to provide a pleasant environment for the people of Vijayawada city.

The VMC commissioner said that the park has been developed and re-opened with the aim of providing a pleasant environment to the people visiting the park. 8.68 acres of Rajiv Gandhi Park with the funds of the 14th financial union Rs 256.00 lakhs has been developed. He said that steps will be taken to develop the park into a better place for visitors. Additional Commissioner (Projects) KV Satyavathy, Executive Engineer ASN Prasad, ADH Srinivas, Park Supervisors, and other officials were present.
