Competitive lining of pockets

Going by the findings of sleuths in various scams that reportedly took place under the erstwhile Bharat Rashtra Samithi regime, people are wondering whether the officials have started competing with politicians to line their pockets in various contracts. The tainted amounts involved in scams relating to some of the officials in the dock reportedly run into lakhs and crores of rupees in various departments. Some of the officials have even farmhouses not unlike those of politicians.  A Telugu proverb goes:” Tonda mudirithe usaravelli ainattu”. So, one need not be surprised if some of the officials involved in mega scams assume political avatars in the future.
