Congress party workers should be prepared for the upcoming MLC and local body elections. Congress workers must work together to ensure the victory of party candidates, said Minister for Tourism Jupally Krishna Rao..
Krishna Rao, who is the district in-charge Minister, said every worker has the responsibility to explain to the people at the grassroots about the developmental activities and welfare programmes being carried out by the Congress government under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao ran an autocratic government. The previous BRS government ignored the welfare of the Telangana people and the state’s development.
Under the BRS regime, the state accumulated debts of over Rs 7 lakh crore.
There was no development in KCR’s rule, only corruption.
The goal of the Congress government is to make welfare schemes a reality and deliver them to the poor, he observed.
The promises made are being implemented step by step. “We need to go door-to-door to explain these schemes to the people.
Along with taking government programmes to the people, a plan should be devised to expand party activities at the village, mandal, and municipal levels,” he advised the party cadre.
He stressed the need to ensure that the party wins highest number of seats in local body elections. He advised the Congress leaders and workers to strive to strengthen the party.
The party will thrive when the workers are strong. The party workers should not fall into despair or disillusionment.
Those who have worked hard for the party will be rewarded with positions, he said.
