BRS leader Sravan blasts Cong’s SC/ST Declaration

PNS|Hyderabad

Senior BRS leader Dr Dasoju Sravan lambasted the SC/ST Declaration released by AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge as a misleading conspiracy of the Congress to deceive the Dalits and tribals of Telangana.

Directing flak at TPCC chief Revanth Reddy for trying to deceive SCs and STs, Dr Sravan pointed out that the KCR Government had spent a whopping Rs 1,81,462 crore exclusively to empower Dalits and Tribals between FY 2014 and 2023.

Dr Sravan wrote an open letter to AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge explaining in detail with facts and figures about the initiatives launched by KCR for improving the lives of Dalits and tribals.

Declaring that the fake and shallow SC/ST Declaration will cut no ice with the Dalits and tribals of Telangana, Dr Sravan said no amount of manipulation by Revanth and his Goebbelian coterie can prevent KCR from coming back to power a third time in Telangana.

“The SC/ST Declaration released by AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge appears to be born out of desperation and frustration rather than out of regard for Dalits and tribals. The fake and shallow SC/ST Declaration prepared by the crooked Revanth Reddy and master strategist Sunil Kanugolu exposes the Congress’s cunning tactics and ideological bankruptcy. It is unfortunate that Revanth and his Goebbelian team have even misled the tallest Dalit leader, Mallikarjuna Kharge, by spreading blatant lies and inconsistencies through the SC/ST Declaration. The KCR-led BRS Government in Telangana is already implementing most of the initiatives for the empowerment of Dalits and tribals. With a multipronged strategy of achieving development, welfare and social justice, the KCR government introduced several schemes for SC/STs and spent a whopping Rs 1,81,462 crore exclusively for people belonging to these disadvantaged groups between FY 2014 and FY 2023,” said Dr Sravan, asking Kharge whether any Congress-ruled state had spent at least a fraction of the funds spent by the TS Government for SCs/STs empowerment.

“KCR has steadfastly followed Ambedkar’s ideals and on several occasions, he has reiterated that the formation of Telangana was made possible only due to Article 3 included by Baba Saheb in the Constitution. The BRS government installed a 125-ft tall statue of Ambedkar in the heart of Hyderabad for remembering Ambedkar’s ideals and to pay tributes to him. It is not just a tribute to Baba Saheb but an honour for all Dalits and tribals. KCR also named the Telangana Secretariat after Babasaheb. I’m sure that if it was the Congress government they would have named the new Secretariat after the Gandhis,” Dr Sravan added, highlighting KCR’s unflinching commitment towards Ambedkarism.

Dr Sravan also mocked the SC/ST Declaration as a ‘copy paste’ resolution as it shamelessly copied the Dalit Bandhu scheme being implemented by the KCR government and made futile attempts to present it as a new idea by increasing the amount by Rs 2 lakh and also copied several schemes already being implemented by the KCR government.

Saying that the welfare initiatives introduced by KCR like turning tribal thandas into panchayats, double-bedroom homes, pensions for old people, widows, disabled and persons suffering with various other diseases, the KCR kit, Basti Dawakhanas, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima, Kalyana Lakshmi, and other programmes are transforming the lives of SCs and STs and enabling them to stand on their own feet with their head held high, Dr Sravan declared that the crooked and misleading tactics of the Congress cannot create a rift between the BRS and SC and STs.
