Cong files complaint with ED against 27 Hyd stone mining firms

The Congress has filed a complaint with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against 27 stone mining companies functioning around Hyderabad city alleging that they are engaged in illegal mining and hawala deals. AICC member Bakka Judson said in his complaint that the 27 companies including stone crushing units and ready mix and hot mix plants located around Hyderabad are engaged in money laundering and illegal mining in Survey Number 268 and private lands in Banda Ravirala, Chinna Ravirala, Taramatipet, and Deshmukhi villages of Abdullahpurmet and Pochampally mandals of Ranga Reddy district and Yadadri Bhongir district.

He said in his complaint that thousands of trucks were transporting stones every day. The Congress leader said that a big scam is being perpetrated by some individuals posing as industrialists who are illegally mining natural resources and selling them at exorbitant rates to customers without paying taxes. He said that during his field investigation he found Yadadri Stone Crusher, B.N.R. Sand Manufacturing unit, Sri Renuka Rock Sand Metal Industry, Sai Rohit Metal Industries, Tirumala Rock Sand Manufacturing Unit & Mine, KRC Infra Projects Mine & Stone Crusher, Padmavathi Metal Industry, Sai baba Metal Industry, Sai Vikas Stone crushing Industries, Sri Venkata Vhiva Metal Industry, Super Fine Sand Hyderabad Pvt Ltd (Mines), Veltech Constructions, S.V Constructions (B.Raghuma Reddy Constructions), Ambica Infra Company, Mayank Infra Company, P. N. Constructions (Ganesh Constructions), S.P.R. Constructions, K.Chandrashekar Hot Mix plant, Venkatesh Hot Mix Plant, Sri Guduru Narender Reddy, Alluri estates Pvt Ltd, PSK Infrastructures and Projects Private Limited, Nagarjuna Hytech Constructions, Rock Crushing India Pvt Ltd., and other private lands in Banda Ravirala, Chinna Ravirala,Taramatipet, Desmukhi villages of Abdullapurmet and Pochampally Mandals of Ranga Reddy District and Yadadri-Bhongir districts of Telangana.

Judson said these companies are not following any rules and function as they like. Government officers have become mute spectators and were siding with these companies and threatening those who dare to question them. The Congress leader said the government agencies which have refused to take action against the mega scam are the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOEFCC), the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the TS Director of Mines and Geology, the Member Secretary, TSPCB, the Collectors of Ranga Reddy and Yadadri-Bhongir districts, the member secretary of the State environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA, the Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Commissionerate, Telangana, the Director of the District Industries Centre, Ranga Reddy District and Yadadri-Bhongir district, the Department of Revenue, Ibrahimpatnam Division, Ranga Reddy district and the Department of Revenue’s Choutuppal division, Yadadri-Bhongir district, the Department of Irrigation, Ibrahimpatnam Subdivision, Ranga Reddy district.
