State IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao lashed out at Congress MLA Sridhar Babu for speaking without proper evidence on the flood damage. Sridhar Babu spoke on the occasion of a brief discussion in the Legislative Assembly on the recent floods in the State. KTR condemned Sridhar Babu’s comments on flood damage and said it was to mislead people.
Minister KTR said, “Do not talk about the flood damage. Even if there is water for two days in the paddy crop, there will be no damage. Soya and cotton crops are damaged by water. This is what sweeping remarks are made without thinking. The aim is to defame the government.
As soon as KCR announced the loan waiver, the Congressmen’s fuses blew. Due to this, unnecessary accusations are being made. Evidence should be shown logically and scientifically. Farmers are watching everyone.”
He said that those who said that they will give three hours of electricity to the farmers are not correct in telling us ethics. Chief Minister KCR waived loans twice, introduced Rythu Bandhu and deposited Rs 73,000 crore in farmers’ accounts. “Rythu Bima is not implemented anywhere else except in Telangana. Scientific evidence should be used. It is not right to misbehave.” KTR made it clear that the government has the power to speak with full evidence.
KTR reminded that the president of the Congress party openly commented that three hours of electricity is enough for the farmers in Telangana. “In the past, they killed farmers by giving 6 hours of electricity. If given a chance, they will give three hours of electricity. Their president categorically said that there is no question of giving 24 hours electricity. Say it in front of the cameras.” he said. KTR demanded that Sridhar Babu should tell us his party’s policy before preaching ethics.
