Former Minister G Jagadeesh Reddy has put the blame on Congress government for Telangana losing its control over the Krishna River projects.
He, along with MLAs K Bhupal Reddy, G Kishore Kumar, Ravindra Kumar, Ch Lingaiah and other BRS leaders visited the venue of the “Chalo Nalgonda” public meeting to be held on February 13 as part of the save Krishna River projects campaign.
Addressing the gathering, he exuded confidence that people from undivided Nalgonda, Khammam and Mahabubnagar districts would turn out in large numbers at the meeting. People have come forward to make arrangements for the meeting.
He wondered why the Chief Miniser and his Cabinet colleagues were not visiting the Nagarjunasagar Project.
When KCR was the chief minister, the government chased away the AP government and frustrated its plans to encroach on Nagarjuna Sagar project. He described the Krishna River waters dispute is the life and death question of the people of the State.
He categorically stated that the four Krishna River Projects were under the control of the BRS government. Though the AP government agreed to hand over the Krishna River projects to the Centre, the BRS government did not agree to it. He charged the Congress leaders acting as agents of the AP leaders. He accused the Congress leaders as saboteurs. The Congress leaders launching a tirade against the BRS instead of taking up the issue with the Centre, he said.
