Alleging that the Congress government is facing collapse even though it has a majority, Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy said that the Congress appointed AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi as Protem Speaker violating the rules of the Assembly as it was part of its advance planning.
He said that the Congress may take the help of the AIMIM in future if there is trouble with its MLAs and that the BJP is condemning the appointment of Akbaruddin Owaisi as Protem Speaker ignoring seniors.
He made it clear that the BJP boycotted the oath-taking of MLAs as the Congress government violated the Assembly’s conventions. The Congress violates the rules of the Assembly and its honour as usual by following its old habits. Kishan said that there is a convention of the government appointing a senior MLA as Protem Speaker. However, the Congress government appointed AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi as Protem Speaker as it has entered into a secret pact with AIMIM. He said that the BJP opposes the move of the Congress government.
Speaking to the media on Saturday at the State BJP office, Kishan said that the Congress has been following its old policies vis a vis AIMIM just three days after coming to power.

“We have said many times in the past that the Congress and the AIMIM are one. However, Congress leaders said that the BJP and the AIMIM are one. Now the true colours of the Congress is out. BJP MLAs would take oath in the Assembly only after the regular Speaker is appointed,” Kishan said.
