Coming down heavily on AICC leader Rahul Gandhi for calling the BRS the ‘B-Team’ of the BJP, BRS working president KT Rama Rao said that his party had not aligned with any other party, but people think that the Congress is the ‘C- Team,’ that is, chor (thief) team.
He said that Rahul Gandhi is not a leader but a reader who reads the scripts given to him by his party leaders.
“A means Adarsh scam, B means Bofors scam, C means Commonwealth scam and if we continue it will go on till Z. The Congress looted India from the sky to the ground below us. They have not left out anything starting from Agusta Helicopter to the coal underground. Their Union ministers have gone to jail. There is an ED investigation against Rahul and Sonia in connection with the ‘National Herald’ case. They come and say B-Team and C-Team, but we are not the B-Team. You are the C-Team, that is, the chor team,” KT Rama Rao said.
KTR sought to know why Rahul did not go to Gujarat during the Assembly elections there and why his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ took a detour from Maharashtra. “What is their understanding with the BJP?” he asked.Rahul had on Wednesday at a rally at Mulugu said that the BRS is the B-Team of the BJP and that both parties have a “tacit understanding.”
Speaking about TPCC president Revanth Reddy, KTR said the Congress chief was arrested when he was “trying” to buy a vote from an MLA.
Referring to Rahul’s allegation of corruption amounting to Rs 1,00,000 crore in an irrigation project built for Rs 80,000 crore, KTR said either the AICC leader does not know basic mathematics or his scriptwriter might have mentioned it.
Responding to a query, he said that both the BJP and the Congress do not like the BRS expanding beyond Telangana and becoming a pan-India party. “The BJP and the Congress are vying for the second place in Telangana. I want to wish Rahul ji and Prime Minister Modi ji all the best because the BJP lost deposits in 105 constituencies in the last elections,” he said. He said that the Congress cannot defeat the BJP at the national level as it is evident from the fact that even Rahul lost in the Amethi Lok Sabha constituency in 2019.
