Cong is like a stone in a lunatic’s hands: Harish

Must read

Health Minister T. Harish Rao said that the condition of the Congress in Telangana is like a stone in the hands of a mad man and that TPCC President Revanth Reddy is the heir of TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu who said that agriculture is useless.

He pointed out that Revanth is also saying that a three-hour power supply is enough like Chandrababu.

Addressing the gathering after inducting Congress leaders from Zaheerabad and Sangareddy on Sunday at the Telangana Bhavan, Harish said that Revanth had criticised the Congress saying that it was not giving proper power supply when he was in the TDP, but changed his stand after joining the Congress.

He said that Revanth is trying to do injustice to farmers saying that three hours of power is enough, but farmers say that even a ‘Gunta’ cannot be irrigated with three hours of power supply.

Harish asked Congress leaders to explain whether Congress-ruled states are getting 24-hour power supply.

He said that the Congress was against Telangana from the very beginning and that Congress is the party that merged Telangana with Andhra Pradesh.

He said that Telangana is now moving forward in all sectors, but Congress leaders are filing cases to block development projects. Congress leaders are also blocking land acquisition, he said.

He alleged that the Congress leaders were trying to defame Telangana by making corruption allegations about the Kaleshwaram Project.

Harish said that the people won’t believe Congress if it says that it will give 24-hour free power supply as the Congress has a history of not supplying even three hours of power to the village of former Power Minister Ponnala Laxmaiah.

He asked Revanth to explain whether the Congress ever spoke about power supply in the Assembly in the last nine years of BRS rule. He said that farmers will not believe Congress leaders and that the BRS will register a hat-trick victory in the next elections.
